Founded on the production of robots, IML robots, automation, and camera-control systems, Roboplas has become one of the leading brands in the plastic packaging industry, turning its twenty-year journey into a success story driven by innovation and technology. Established in 2004 by its founders Onur Oral, Zafer Kirik, and Aydın Özkaymaz, the company has grown into a global brand exporting to 45 countries, operating over 950 robotic systems worldwide, and providing international technical support.
Since its establishment, Roboplas has invested not only in production but also in technology development. In 2014, the company launched its own camera-based quality inspection brand ROBOVISION, and strengthened its international presence with the creation of ROBOTER in 2017 and ROBOPLAS North America in 2019.
In 2024, the opening of the ROBOPLAS Robot Center in Silivri Çanta became a concrete symbol of this growth. With its 2,300 m² modern production area, assembly lines, machining and welding departments, the facility represents the second phase of Roboplas’ development. Additionally, the ARBURG ALLROUNDER 630H-2300-800 HP injection molding machine showcased in the showroom through the ARBURG partnership stands as one of the strongest indicators of the company’s technological and engineering capabilities. Onur Oral describes this investment as “Roboplas’ gateway to the future.”
Strong Presence at K 2025 for the 5th Time
Roboplas participated in the K 2025 Fair in Düsseldorf for the fifth consecutive time. The latest robotic systems displayed at the fair attracted significant attention, once again highlighting the company’s innovative strength. Among the standout technologies were the Compact system, the space-saving Boxing Unit, and cobot solutions designed to safely collaborate with human operators. These compact designs combined maximum production efficiency with minimal floor space, making the Roboplas’s booth definitely got noticed at the event. areas of the fair.
In the production line exhibited at the fair, 8-cavity molds developed by Erkoç Mould were used to produce 125 ml Round Cup products. The system featured an Arburg 820 A 4000-2100/1300 injection molding machine, while IML Full Wrap-Around labeling technology provided by MCC Label delivered high-quality and visually appealing results. Supported by I-Tech cooling systems, the production line achieved a remarkable 4.9-second cycle time.
Behind this performance lay Roboplas’ advanced robotic technologies and the ROBOVISION IML Vision Quality Control system, which monitors the process in real time, detecting issues such as missing labels, black dots, burrs, or incomplete prints. This ensures the highest possible level of defect-free production.
Growing Presence in North America
Roboplas’ global network was also highlighted at K 2025. The participation of Berry Avimlah, General Manager of Roboplas North America located in Oakville, Canada, underscored the company’s international growth strategy. Active in the North American market since 2017, Roboplas has been offering rapid local support, technical service, and spare parts supply to its customers across Canada, the USA, and Latin America through its sales and service center established in Toronto in 2019.
Following the fair, General Manager Onur Oral summarized the company’s vision as follows: “In our 20th year, participating in a prestigious event like K 2025 for the fifth consecutive time is a great source of pride. This fair showcased not only our technology but also our team spirit and commitment to our customers. Roboplas will continue investing in smart manufacturing solutions in the upcoming period.”
Real-Time Quality Control with ROBOVISION
The ROBOVISION camera-based quality control systems developed by Roboplas ensure comprehensive inspection on the production line. The system utilizes high-resolution cameras and specialized software from brands such as IRAYPLE, ZEBRA, and MATROX. It instantly detects defects such as label misalignment, blowby , label presence, black dots, minimizing production waste.
